Treasurer Mandel holds Financial Literacy Conference in Dayton at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base
Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel welcomed participants, including many active duty members of the military and veterans to his office’s fourth Smart Money Choices conference of 2013 on Friday, August 2nd at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton. Treasurer Mandel is a veteran of the Marine Corps, and served two tours of duty in Iraq.
During the conference, attendees participated in break-out sessions on various financial education and planning topics including budgeting, credit and debt, investments, retirement planning, student funding and consumer protection.
Smart Money Choices is a free, half-day financial planning conference held annually for all Ohioans by the Ohio Treasurer’s Office and supported by a variety of statewide and regional partners. The conference series, held throughout the state, allows Ohio citizens the opportunity to hear from money management professionals on a variety of financial literacy topics to help them make more informed and knowledgeable decisions in their financial lives.
