Treasurer Mandel Holds CPIM Conference in Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN – Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel’s office hosted a Center for Public Investment Management (CPIM) conference in Bowling Green on June 19th. CPIM provides continuing education training to local government investment officers to help them meet the needs of their constituents as they work to safely manage Ohio’s public funds.
“Local government finance officers have the great responsibility of investing, managing and protecting public funds in their local jurisdictions,” said Treasurer Mandel. “We are honored to provide them with training and education that can help them be more successful in their work to safeguard and grow taxpayer dollars.”
Public funds officials in Ohio are required by law to receive continuing education credits in the areas of investment and management of public finances. The Ohio Treasurer’s office offers CPIM Conferences throughout the year, as well as online courses, to help government finance officers meet their requirements and increase their knowledge as they work to effectively manage and safeguard Ohio’s tax dollars. The conferences cover a variety of topics and provide comprehensive financial training that benefits public funds managers at all levels.
